As you saw on the video I posted about some MK movie teaser (that turned out to be a film made by some people just to convince WB), I love this Mortal Kombat shit. Since grade school Ive been learning all the fatalities, cheat codes, combos, brutalities, hidden characters... all when I was still gaming on a Sega.
And it seems like it was officially announced that the next Mortal Kombat game will be released next year, 2011 and is being developed by Ed Boon and company. And did you know that the character's name, Noob Saibot was a wordplay of Boon and Tobias?... the creators of the game? TOASTY!
“We can’t wait for players to get their hands on Mortal Kombat,” said Ed Boon, Creative Director, NetherRealm Studios. “This game really is a response to what players have been demanding: mature presentation, reinvented 2D fighting mechanic and the best, most gruesome fatalities ever!"
