2004 DAIGO PARRY VIDEO

An amazing video of Daigo (who defended his title in this year's EVO Championship series World Finals) parrying every move of his opponent.

The Infamous Daigo Parry Video

In this video from EVO 2004, two of the top Street Fighter players in the world, Daigo Umehara and Justin Wong, face off in front of a crowd of hundreds in one of the final rounds of competition. Wong (Chun-Li) damages Daigo (Ken) to the point where even chip damage from a simple block would end the round. When Wong pulls a super combo, Daigo is able to parry every single one of the 15 hits of the combo.

For those new to the Street Fighter world, a parry is a very risky move that enables a player to block incoming hits without losing heath. It's risky because it can only be done by moving towards an opponent at the precise moment when a hit lands. Watch Daigo do it 15 times in a row and see what happens then.
